Her legs were still hurting, and the more she moved fast, the worse they got. She needed to find a place to rest for a while. Hopefully after a little while of resting, she'd be able to get on with her investigation. She was wasting time, and it was all because of her sister. If she had just let it go, this wouldn't be happening.
She was still upset with her sister about that. She didn't care that she kind of missed her, and didn't like being mad at her so soon after their parents died. She still hadn't been able to get her wallet, so she was still having to use her speed to swipe food.
She sat down on a bench in the park and began rubbing her legs in hopes they would stop hurting.
"You were doing that earlier also," a menacing voice said, "That must mean that that impressive speed of yours actually hurts you when you do it."
Kara looked up and saw the man from the mall, looking even scarier than before, and she had the feeling he wasn't just there by coincidence.
"I wonder if you'll be as fun to play with in your current condition," he said, adding a bit of a growl to his words. A viscous smile crossed his face, "Go on then. Run, so we can play."
Kara looked at him curiously, then had to flip backwards over the bench when he swiped at her.
