"Sure," Jaime agreed. Of course it was nice to meet her. She smirked slightly, then shrugged before nodding toward the building that contained the main office. "Head up there whenever you're ready, and they'll get you somewhere to sleep. Probably in the ..." she gestured vaguely. "In with the students or whatever."
Jaime was glad she was old enough to have dodged that bullet.
She hesitated slightly before exhaling. "Listen ... it's not ... that bad here. And they are trying to get us home, so ... there's that."
Not that Jaime really had intentions of going 'home' because she really had no home to go to. Here was better than there, and she'd stay here rather than go back there.
