RP: Bored and Annoyed Who: Jaime, open What: contemplation Where: bench near the apartments When: Afternoon, June 29 Warning: Jaime's mouth
Jaime had been keeping an eye on the papers, more out of boredom than anything else. Once upon a time, she hadn't been a completely heartless bitch with walls three miles thick. Once upon a time, she'd trusted people, liked people, cared about someone other than herself. She was trying not to, now.
She didn't want to care about Mal. She didn't want to be jealous he'd gone out to lunch with Lily (even if Lily had later assured her they were nothing more than friends). She didn't want to care about missing kids. She didn't want to care about solving a murder case.
But Jaime was starting to care, and it pissed her off that she cared, because when you cared you could get hurt, and she was tired of being hurt.
Setting the paper aside, Jaime heaved a sigh before she tipped her chin up and closed her eyes, and simply let her thoughts chase each other around.
