River dropped neatly and silently out of the tree she'd been in, falling into silent step behind Mal. She was a little baffled as to why Jaime hadn't come around yet ... or why Mal hadn't. She studied his back, but that was no help at all. "Doing it wrong," she informed him as she increased her pace to fall into step beside him.
How, exactly, he was doing it wrong, she couldn't say. She glanced around curiously, but the dragon she'd been watching had apparently gone back to sleep. Or was pretending again. The dragon was kind of fun to play with. "When can we go home?" she inquired as she glanced up to him. "I miss her."
While there were a couple of 'her's back home, River meant the ship. She did miss Kaylee and Zoe, but she really, really missed the ship. "Not here. Never here, never will be here, far distant and always to the left," she mumbled before she looked away. "So much sorrow here," she breathed.
