Thank you! I do think God's the only reason I made it this year. Not only did He help me get over 10,000 words written in the last 36 hours or so, but I've had other years where I didn't really have anything going on (like this year); last year was busy, but I might have been able to do it, but other years, I definitely could have done it, but this year, I prayed for help this year.
You know, I used to think those banners and icons people post right after NaNo were very showy...but I don't think so now that I've won! XD LOL
1,000 words/day is about what I'm really capable of, so it's what I'll probably do when I start writing. My "real" novel (quotation marks in there because I'm thinking I like my NaNo novel more seriously than I previously thought) is about the elves in another world that end up in ours and run into the geek and his gf, who thinks they're RPers at first.
Twilight? *cringe* *twitch* You brave person. Before I knew it was so popular, I'd see it in Barnes & Noble in the teen section (where I still troll for novels and novel series even though I really want one aimed at someone more mature), and because of the cover, I'd be intrigued, so I'd picked it up. I have a horrible memory when it comes to it, it seems, and each time, I'd start reading the summary and go "Uh, no" and put it back. After I knew it was popular, I picked it up and tried to make myself like it, but I still couldn't do it. XD Part of it is because I am not really into vampires (occassionally, maybe, a little). One thing I like about the movie is that it's Cedric Diggory as the main guy, so we get things like what's in this user's signature: after searching, I can't find it, but it had a picture of Cedric dead with the caption "*is dead*" and right next to it, there was the actor as the guy in Twilight with the caption "j/k *is a VAMP!*" or something to that effect. ^_^

Also, the dragon cave forums make me cry, but that's for another time.
