One hand patting Eclipse's neck to help calm the horse, which had stepped back and tossed his head when the blue smoke suddenly appeared, Mortimer gripped the reins firmly in his other hand. He watched from beneath his shading hat rim as the overly-muscled brute of a god made his presence known.
"I merely don't want to spoil my horse's fun by denying him feed and water for longer than necessary," he responded, sitting up as tall as he could in the saddle. Senses alert, he knew the younger male rode closer but he ignored Sebastian for now. "Besides, being as you're one who can transport others through time, not to mention bring yourself here, I somehow doubt we can spoil your fun all that easily."
