"You're welcome," she replied kindly. She always enjoyed serving a customer with manners and he definitely wasn't a slob from around here. A case like that screamed city folk because around here you knew the people who could afford laptops and they usually were pretty showy when it came to their lunch hour.
"The Lafayette Burger is the best in the county," she replied honestly. She not only enjoyed a good burger but truthfully believed it was the best around until you got into bigger cities. "Can I get you anything to drink? Water? Ice tea? We have Coke products or I can get you anything from the bar," she offered leaving her waiter's tab and pen in her apron around her waist.
Sookie smiled at the man. She was used to hearing that question from people who didn't know her but it was usually laced with dirty thoughts and men thinking just because they were interested in a woman's name meant she'd wrap his legs around him. She didn't hear any maliciousness in his voice or in his thoughts, but then she wasn't getting any of those either more like emotions. "Nope, it's just, Sookie," she said politely in return.
