Lily smiled and thanked him; even though she was cold, she did not ask for his coat. She didn't want him to be without it, because it really was chilly out here. It had been her idea to come out anyway. She led him a little farther up the sidewalk to a bench and sat, motioning for him to take the spot next to her. At least they wouldn't be the center of attention here, so it was slightly better. Now all she had to do was wait. This plan had to work.
"Do you like the party so far? I think it's a good break from school," she remarked. Hogwarts was beautiful, but one could take its beauty for granted, seeing it every day.
