"Potions? That would be perfect for you, Severus. You're the best I know," she told him honestly. She was glad he had not mentioned anything about dabbling in the Dark Arts. The Gryffindors had warned her that he and a bunch of the other Slytherins were really into dark magic and trying their hand at it. Lily couldn't bring herself to believe the rumors, though. It was unfair that just because he was Slytherin, he was associated with everything bad.
The waitress came back with their drinks, interrupting again to take their orders. Lily ordered her sandwich and watched Severus's reaction to the waitress closely. She was very beautiful. Lily felt silly for feeling even the slightest pang of jealousy. Somehow she couldn't help it.
