He tightened his hold on her hand and walked right past Umbridge. He couldn't believe it - she had just let them go without even picking on them.
As soon as he was allowing himself to be happy again, it felt as though someone shoved him, violently, away from Hermione. His side slammed into the wall, and turning around, he saw that Hermione was against the opposite wall. Umbridge was staring straight at him. That wide smile was on her lips, as if she had just eaten a particularly juicy fly.
"No physical contact in the hallways, children!" she cried in her shrill voice. "If I catch you again, it will be detention for you and your young lady here, Potter."
