Her being able to take his hand in front of the few people in the common room made him giddy, especially now that Ron seemed okay with it. But Ginny... that made the giddy feeling sink instantly into a pit of dread.
Still holding Hermione's hand, he led her to the Fat Lady's portrait to exit into the hallway. He walked quietly, unsure of what to say. He wanted to kiss her, desperately, but held back because of all the people that were still around. It was dinner time, so maybe they would all go to bed in a few hours. Harry hoped so.
