Remus took deep breaths to control his body and his wolf as he watched and felt Sirius' touches. His friend's head on his knee was begging him to pet it. He wanted to pet Sirius' head so much, but he didn't, he knew he shouldn't. He just watched and imagined what life could have been like if they had not just been friends, but more then friends. It was just a fantasy of course, something that could and would never happen.
When Sirius got up Remus felt both disappointed and relieved. He pushed both feelings away though, this was not about his feelings for Sirius, this was about getting Sirius to realize that what ever prank he played the wolf should never be a part of it. That the wolf was a dangerous creature, that Remus was dangerous. He had to realize something Remus already knew, werewolves are terrifying and deathly things.
"You don't have to apologize in front of people." The young wolf got up too, using his robes to conceal what, having the dark-haired wizard on his knees in front of him, had done to him. "Severus spends a lot of time at the Library, I am sure we can find him there when there are hardly any other people around." Over the years Remus had spend a lot of time in the library when hardly anyone was there but one or two Ravenclaws and Severus Snape.
Remus was really happy that Sirius had agreed to apologize to Severus. "I think it would be good for Severus to know you were not planning on getting him killed." Remus now believed it but he still needed to shake the knowledge on how close he had come to becoming a killer.
