Since it's hard to write on an unfinished series, I'm attempting to place this after Naruto learns the water cutting technique, but before he goes off to find Sasuke. I'm going to try and divorce it as much from the real goings on as possible and just write about their time home between missions. I only hope it's a little more interesting than the usual filler crap the anime puts out. ^__^.

This hour's challenge is txt message. The story can be written as a sort of epistolary form with txt messages, or a txt can form a central plot point (such as causing an embarrassing situation). |

The challenge for this hour is to take the opening line of a story and, by changing a single word, change the direction of the story.
Example: in this ficlet, Misanagi has the opening sentence, "Sometimes Sirius stares." If we were to change that to "Sometiems Sirius farts," we'd have a very different story, indeed.
So for this challenge, you can take any of your own stories or a story by anyone who comments below, and remix it by changing one word in the opening sentence and using that as a starting point.

Examples:

Supernatural goes to the Superbowl
