You seem like a very caring individual, Chloe. I'm sure Grey appreciated that. She tends to take very good care of her friends, so having someone outside her group do the same? I think that's excellent.
There are a few things. White noise can be very helpful (such as a recording of nighttime sounds like crickets or light rain, and so on), going to bed at a particular time every night and waking up at the same time every morning will at least help you adjust to a schedule so you're getting the proper amount of sleep you need to function, avoiding food after a certain point in the evening... these are all just minor things, but they should help.
An old friend of mine on the force used to have really, really awful dreams, but his psychiatrist encouraged him to do keep a journal. Writing about the dreams eventually helped him limit the amount of times they popped up.
