The afternoon had been pleasant. The weather wasn't too cold yet, nor had it rained. It set the tone for a rather nice date between Draco and Pansy. They'd dined in Hogsmeade, had a couple of butterbeers, and he'd purchased a few things for her. Once the trip had wrapped up and the students were made to return to Hogwarts, Draco had taken Pansy back down to the Slytherin common room. Currently, he was lying on one of the large leather sofas with his head in her lap. This was something he often did, so she could pet and run her fingers through his hair. This was something she did that really soothed him. It reminded him of his mother, though she was not quite as gentle.
"Did you enjoy our day?" he drawled out quietly, his eyes half closed as he watched the flickering fire in the fireplace before them. Other students were strewn about the common room, but Draco paid them no mind. He paid little attention to anything else when they were in this position.
