WHO: Troy and Kira WHEN: Feb 8. Friday evening WHERE: local store WHAT: A random meet on a munchies run RATING: PG
Eventually, Troy knew he'd find a routine; days to shop, where he'd go for things, collecting stuff on the way home. For the most part he didn't mind when things came up, like when he opened his fridge and realised that he didn't have anything in there to eat. This moving thing had thrown him for a loop, and he was far too used to having everything at hand.
The lucky thing about Los Angeles was that he could find an open store fairly easy. He was browsing some shelves, figuring out what looked decent. He wasn't typically picky, although he knew he had a sweet tooth given the fact that he'd shoved chocolate and sponge cake in his basket already, before he'd even got to the ready meals or vegetables in order to make a dinner like he was meant to be doing. He supposed he could always pick up something on the way in; Chinese, Thai, even something a little more exotic. There were so many other options now.
He was still figuring out if he trusted the ready meals, some of them had a very distinct processed taste, but he was also to the point of just wanting to laze out on the couch and watch TV with a beer, since he'd definitely put in extra hours this week, given his visit back to Maryland at the beginning of the week had taken a fair bit out of him too.
It was just too bad this stuff couldn't just materialise for him. That would make things ten times easier.
