Re: Wyatt Kane & {Open}
Domino was amazing, as usual. Resplendent, even. Zarah stood off to the side of the room, behind the podium, and clapped and gasped along with the rest, eyes shining with genuine devotion. Domino was so good at what he did. It was impossible to feel uncomfortable in his presence. As the meeting drew to a close, she let her gaze wander the room. Some faces looked skeptical. Some faces looked ready for change.
And then...the lurkers. There's always lurkers. Those little (or in this case, rather tall) shadows that stick to the edges, body language bristling and bold. Zarah rather loved talking to these types. Once they found that she was not some strange zealous fanatic they tended to calm down. Open up, even.
She skirted the edges of the room, trying not to be too conspicuous that she was making her way towards this tall, surly looking fellow. She made it as far as ten feet from Wyatt before a speck of dust made her stumble a little, though she managed to catch herself quickly and without much fuss. Which was nice. Faceplanting would be too conspicuous.
"Hello," she said when she pulled up alongside him, hands folded loosely in front of her . "You looked a bit lonely back here all by yourself. Is this your first time coming to one of these?"
Zahra's smile widened, though not enough to show teeth as she leaned in conspiratorially. "That was a bit wild, wasn't it?"
