Who: Billy William Crowley & Sabine Lucas
What: Catching Up
When: Friday evening
Where: Bait & Switch, The Antique
Rating: PG-13?
Bait & Switch was due to close as Billy slipped inside the shop. The sign had already been flipped to say that they were done for the day but the door wasn't locked. He didn't announce himself, he didn't really need to since he wasn't a customer and he wasn't looking to buy anything - though what he wouldn't give to watch Sabine have to politely work through a transaction with a difficult customer who wanted to pay in Spanish gold or something past closing time - and was really only here to surprise an old friend and convince her to come out to The Antique with him. After having seen Shiloh a few days before, it had hit home that Billy needed to make more of an effort with the people in his life. He didn't want a decade to pass without checking in on the precious few people he called friends. Whilst he didn't know many humans, he was aware that dropping out of contact with them for a decade at a time could be the difference between being greeted as a friend and being greeted as a stranger due to the deterioration of the human mind as it aged. Not that ageing was particularly an issue for Sabine. Not yet, anyway. He spotted her locking an item away in a cabinet near the back and stuck his hands in his pockets, clad in his usual garb of dark jeans, boots, a zip-up hoodie and a t-shirt. Clearing his throat - though he knew she had more than likely heard him - he offered her a cheeky grin and asked, "How much would you murder me if I asked for some time to browse?" |
