Who: Sam Ward [Narrative]
What: Just relaxing at the beach
When: 3rd May, evening
Where: The beach
Rating: G
Warnings: None
It had been a long time since Sam had seen the ocean and even longer since he'd been fully immersed in it as he tended to just sit in a salt bath when it came to that time but being here in Los Angeles meant he had easy access to the ocean. Not that he was going to sink back into it because that would take some explaining if anybody should happen across him and plus it hurt so much.
No thank you.
As it was he was sat in the sand, jeans rolled up to his knees, and bare feet buried in the sand, arms resting across the top of his knees with fingers linked together as he just watched as the ocean lapped the shore gently and inhaled that scent, the one that took him back home, and made him feel complete in so many ways that his wandering hadn't.
He'd definitely made the right decision, to come to LA, to reconnect with Waverley and he knew eventually he'd need to find a place of his own but for now it was nice to spend time with family and catch up on everything he'd missed.
Eventually he reached into his pocket and dug out his cigarettes, knocking one out into the palm of his hand before he slipped it between his lips and caught the tip with the flame of his lighter, a short inhale then accompanying a long exhale of smoke.
Slow and steady won the race.
