Who: Wyatt Kane & Marcus Valentine
What: New case, questions to be asked
When: 14th April
Where: LAPD Precinct
Rating: TBC
Warnings: None, I think?
There were some days when Wyatt really loved what he did because he was able to help people and put some real pieces of work behind bars and then there were other days - days like this one - where he really fucking hated it because he felt utterly powerless.
He was also pretty sure the only reason he'd gotten this case was because nobody else wanted it. A lot of the other detectives were interested in the big cases, ones that got the most media attention and had their names splashed across the front pages of newspapers. This case, well, it wasn't that. No, it was about vagrants or rather the startling amount that were going missing and of course because they were vagrants nobody really cared about what was going on.
Wyatt however had garnered something of a reputation for giving a shit about that sort of thing which is why this case had been dropped on his desk. So far he'd counted and there had been a total of twenty five disappearances in the last three months, all vagrants, all from different places but a majority were from the community he knew hid out under the bridge, and aside from being homeless the only other thing they had in common was their age.
All young, all vulnerable, and hell Wyatt figured if nobody else was going to do something then he might as well.
After reading through the reports he'd noticed a name that kept cropping up, a Marcus Valentine, and he thought he might be a good place to start to see what he might know about what was happening on the streets. He'd asked the desk sergeant where he could find the other man and was pointed towards a dark haired brunette currently fighting with the coffee machine and after saying his thanks Wyatt headed on over.
"You Marcus?"
