Kitty had gotten to the rally early, setting up opposite a counter protest in Boyle Heights, a MAHA and MAGA joint protest with picketing and shouting, and a lot of people who were trying to do harm. She had her satchel clutched against her chest, various healing salves and potions secured in a case inside it just in case things went horribly wrong. The demonstration was bigger than she was used to and she was exceedingly aware that she stood out here more than she did at other times, being exceptionally white in an area that was largely anything but.
She'd managed to work her way through the crowd, trying to find the rendezvous point where she'd find Ally but hadn't been able to pin down her precise location as of yet. And the noise level was already pretty loud. She thought about calling Kyle, or Jesse, knowing that they'd both come and help her in an instant if she needed it. Hell, Jesse would probably bring Cassidy and half the Green pack if he thought it was needed to make sure she got out ok.
She could hear the shouting of the protestors and a sudden surge from behind her had her losing her balance, stumbling forward over the edge of the sidewalk. Since her bag was secured over her body with a strap, it left her hands open to reach out to try and steady herself on anything that was unfortunate enough to be in her way, which just so happened to be a nearby person as her lithe form stumbled and fell into him, she reached out to try and catch herself, fingers latching around his arm as she unsuccessfully stopped herself from falling, skinning her knees as she hit the ground.
Because of the jostling around her, she couldn't get up, either, and she felt a rising panic that she was either going to get squashed or that Kyle was going to randomly appear in front of her, in his hound form, snarling aggressively at the perceived threats until she could get back on her feet.
She tried to stand but someone else knocked her - quite accidentally as crowds tended to do - so when she caught the eye of the man she'd originally stumbled into, she looked at him plaintively, holding her hand out for him to help her up.
