Yes, I think that is the most logical place for Miles at this point of the game. His superiors are going to give him a lot of grunt work and try to make his life miserable. This might open a door for a villian to try to win him over if he gets resentful enough. Or, he'll be around to uncover other plots. He's sort of a floater right now that can probably fit well into some other major plotlines.
