It was true, if a hunter or hunters were already circling the pack, safety in numbers could benefit them. It was why he had called the police as a back up plan. It had never been his plan to hand her over to the officers and have forensics run prints on her, she needed to be eliminated plain and simple. He considered the offer a little more. It had been on his mind to simply tell Bren about the threat, kill her if he could and then go back to Canada to forget he had even tried Colorado Springs. It had shaped up to be more than he cared for.
“Well, you and your enforcer can handle it. I imagine you’ve dealt with a few of them on a regular basis. I haven’t. She’s my first.” Devon had almost made up his mind until Bren threw out Violet. His mouth twitched a hair. She’d keep tabs on him for sure and if he went back to Canada, he’d have to face her disappointment.
