"We're already in danger." He wasn't trying to be an asshole. He honestly did care there were folk out there running on their own. He'd rather one or the other of the packs took people in, or got them safely out of Colorado Springs. Things were heating up, apparently, and it just wasn't safe to run rogue. "One more person these hunters are after ain't gonna tip the scales."
He shrugged. "Besides. She probably wants me and my enforcer more than getting her knife back. There's safety in numbers, son, but I ain't gonna twist your arm for your own good." Time to place the ace up his sleeve apparently. "And it would make my sister happy."
