Shaw had spent most of the day laying out in the sun in wolf form. The past few days had been stressful, what with taking Lydia to the airport and bailing Bren out of jail after his brawl with the Colorado beta, so it was nice to just stretch out under the trees by the farmhouse. He perked his head up when he heard the loud string of curses and he shifted. It was easy by now, after centuries of practice, to go from wolf form to human form and back again without much pain.
He pulled on the jeans he'd taken off when he shifted and darted over to where he heard the commotion. He grinned when he saw Rae struggling with a pottery wheel and he walked over to her, bare feet crunching the underbrush beneath him. "You need some help there, doll?" he drawled, his Scottish inflection and nickname for every female he ever came across unmistakable to anyone in the California pack.
