Kale had mentioned the Rowdy to Lani more than once as the place to go to meet werewolves. Lani wasn't necessarily a bar type person but she was chafing under the silence in her life. No pack, no word from Kale, and no friends to speak of. Lani was going a little bit crazy in the confines of her own head. The presence of hunters within Colorado Springs spooked her and she realized that she needed to get out, meet people and find a new pack to join. She was holding out hope that Kale would invite her to his but she wasn't going to count on it. The awkwardness seemed to be lingering.
She ordered a Corona at the bar, squeezed a lime in it and turned to look around. It was easy to pick out the wolves from the humans, their scent was different. She sniffed the air discreetly while she sipped her Corona. Her gaze landed on the woman next to her and she offered her a smile. She could smell the tequila and after a signal to the bartender she had her own tequila shot. Lani was horrible at striking up conversation but she did it anyway. "Hi." She said, her accent a mix of French and her native Maori. Most people called her accent Polynesian but that was not quite right.
