Charlie had given his fair share of newcomers the benefit of the doubt, but that part of him was starting to wear thin. Maybe it was because Sophi had left all of a sudden, or maybe he was getting old and jaded. He had been one of the few to take in the former huntress, and this time he was proceeding with more caution. This pup would need to give him more to go on before he would feel truly comfortable around her. Besides, from what he'd seen she had almost no sense of humor, always so quiet and unemotional. It was...weird.
"That's more like the reaction I normally get," Charlie said with a grin, referring to her "oh my god." Although, her physical reaction intrigued him. Maybe she wasn't into men? Or so he comforted himself. The truth never would have crossed his mind in a decade. Then she changed the channel, and he decided that she might have a sense of humor after all. "Wouldn't it be easier to shoot me right between the eyes?" he groaned, grabbing a throw pillow and covering his face with it. "Girls and their damn wedding stuff. I was taking a night off the nightlife, thought I'd spend some quality time at home. Now I'm reconsidering."
