Jo brushed at a couple of lingering tear-streaks on her cheek and managed to give Grace a small smile in return, feeling somewhat better now that she'd let some of her emotions out in the open. In a way it reminded her of when she was a kid and the times she'd get cuts or scrapes. Her mother would cover them with bandages, but would reminder her to take them off so the wounds could breathe and heal faster. Jo thought it was oddly funny that emotional and mental wounds seemed to work the same way.
She shook her head when Grace asked about Ian. Clearing her throat, she added, "No, he hasn't tried to contact me, at least not yet. That's the biggest reason why I've had my cell off; it has GPS and I'm worried he might have turned it on." She smiled again when Grace mentioned having a friend in the area, not one bit surprised it was of the male variety; with Grace and men it was like bees and honey. "Don't worry, if he does anything, you'll be the first to know, trust me."
Turning so that she was standing next to Grace instead of in front of her, she put one of her arms over she shoulder. "How about we start walking back to the cars before it gets too dark to see out here? We can talk more on the way there, okay?"
