"You don't have to tell me twice," Elizabeth chirped, all too happily plucking the Twinkie from his fingers. She was positive that her stomach would rebel later, but for now she would gladly eat whatever fried or caramel-coated foods she could.
A few overly enthusiastic bites later and Elizabeth had finished both of their Twinkies and was happily working on the caramel apple. Around them, everything bustled and vibrated with life. It had been so long since she and Beau had done something like this that she'd nearly forgotten what it was like to be doing something normal. Even after nine years in the hunting life, she still found herself aching every now and then for something typical. She wondered if Beau ever felt the same way.
"I think I'm gonna be sick," she finally admitted, most of the caramel apple gone. Maybe their next ride wouldn't be one with quite so many loops.
