Halloween was Jocelyn's favorite holiday. She had loved the decorations at Hogwarts, and moreso the ones that her parents had put up in her earliest years. Now she was on her own at WMU but that didn't mean that she was going to skip out on the creepy fun decorations that Halloween offered. Perhaps her tasted did run a bit to the macabre but that was neither here nor there. She'd taken a trip to visit her parents earlier and had hauled home a treasure of her old Halloween things, then off to the muggle shops near campus she had gone.
It was from thence that she returned now. Laden with parcels and bags, encumbered to the point that the tiny girl was barely visible, save as penguin shoes and the cuffs of black velvet jeans and the top of her head, green eyes peering from behind catshaped smoky shadows. It was easy to see which window was hers, even from outside. Her own second floor accommodations had been marked with a veil of black lace against an eerie blue glow. She paused and shuffled her bags, putting them down to free up her hands and then grinned impishly up at the window. She'd managed to alter the charm that shot ribbons or streamers forth from her wand a few years ago, now at her will it shot out streamers of spider's webs to adorn her window. She grinned and used a conjuring charm to create five or six fake bats and set them to fluttering back and forth in front of her window. There!
She grinned, slid her wand into the back pocket of her pants and bent to pick up her purchases again. It was difficult, trying to arrange everything once more so that she could carry things inside in one trip. Stacking boxes that would not stay up in her arms and bags that shifted uncertainly as she went to pick up something else. She was having no end of trouble getting everything gathered once more and had not even thought about how she was going to get everything upstairs and into her room, or open the front door to Merlin. She also hadn't quite decided on whether or not to place the light up, vibrating eyeballs in the bushes of her house or not and if so to come back down and do it or to put her bags back down and try now.
