Reed's brain was racing as he tried to think. Emerson wanted to.. well, sure, they'd talked about it. Hell, Reed had told Emerosn he wanted to try it, and if not with him then with who? But part of him just... ugh. He really didn't want to do that again. Ever. Just the thought brought back the feelings, the emotions from last time.. the way he'd felt afterwards..
He had to snap out of it though. This was Emerson he was talking about. Emerson wouldn't hurt a fly. He'd make friends with it and then coax it into sitting for a portrait.
That thought almost had him laughing, which chased back the bad memories. Okay, so yes, this was scary. But they'd had plenty of scary things happen, and Reed did want to try it someday, with somebody he loved, so he could know for sure if he really didn't like being on the bottom. And wasn't it kind of selfish to always be on top? To never let Emerson experience it? Yes, it was. And, let's face it, he was never going to find someone he'd be more comfortable doing.. this.. with.
"Yes," he said, at the very same time as Emerson said 'forget it'. He kissed Emerson back when he leant down, a little confused, then let out a shaky breath as electricity zapped through his body at the feel of Emerson. "Yes," he breathed, "Let's do it."
