He felt a little guilty for it, but having the subject shift off of their situation made his tension ease up, even if only for a little while. This was something he could talk about with her without feeling apprehensive or nervous. It didn't involve him or Reed, which also made it infinitely easier. Of course, it was a horrible thing that she'd gone through and he felt terrible for her having to have dealt with it. Especially since it sounded like she'd been dealing with it by herself for the most part.
"Oh, Felicia," he frowned a little. "That's.. I'm so sorry. That must've been very hard to hear. One's orientation is not a choice, but he did choose to engage in that with you. I don't know his circumstances exactly, but I am terribly sorry that he did not come to terms with it before engaging in that with you." He could understand then, why she might have really needed the contact, the connection.
