Other than the one or two famous wizard and witches' children he knew of who were homeschooled by private tutors, he didn't even think that not going to school was an option. What he wanted to do didn't really require a diploma, but he was going to finish it out. You never knew what was going to happen, at least Rex was grounded somewhat and knew he needed an education, even if he wasn't going to really use it.
