It really was chilly down in the dungeons, he hadn't made that up. Though he would've been lying if he'd said he didn't just want Reed to come visit. He smiled at the thought, anticipating the warmth he always felt with the other boy's arms around him. He had never really been smitten over another person before, and no one had ever really held his attention the way Reed did. Thoughts of love had circulated through his head before, and it had scared him a little, but Emerson reasoned with himself that the notion had come up during a heated, passionate moment. He also knew he was overly sensitive, and prone to feeling emotions in the extreme.
He knew Reed could find a way inside, so he didn't go down to the common room, opting to stay sitting in the middle of his bed. He was cold, and he'd gotten a little thinner; having jaw issues had messed with his eating. But he definitely looked a hundred times better than he had before. His body was still a little tender, but there was no denying that he had healed nicely.
