She had been in this time so long that she had been lapsed in her pleasantries, but Sirius was a refreshing reminder. She smiled and nodded her head at his greeting, appreciating the familiar (yet forgotten) compliment one should address their companion with. "Thank you," she said, glancing down at the white sundress she had on that evening. She guessed it was much different than the outfits Sirius was use to seeing, but how long had he been here now? At least a couple of months, perhaps the look of fashion was beginning to grow on him. Then again, he seemed to still be wearing clothing styled in his time, but that could have meant a number of things.
Her smile softened at his expression of missing home; she definitely remembered that feeling. But as she began to adapt to her new home, her new time, she found herself changing with it as well. It was still to be determined if it was a good thing, but she found herself to be fairly happy here. Well, until recent events.
"I should have sought you out sooner," she said. "I'm sorry to have not keep in touch with you through the summer. Did you stay at the school?" Her mind went back to their last interaction, back when he had first arrived to the school. She had been completely charmed and wondered if things might have been different if she had stuck closer to him; she had a feeling he would help remind her of her own time, of the expectations she needed to uphold for being a Black.
