Who: August Pye & Open! When: September 6th, Early Morning Where: Great Hall What: Early morning breakfast! Rating/Warnings: PG-13 Status: Incomplete
It was all a bunch of hogwash, that mess about vampires not being able to eat real food. Of course they could! Did people think they'd be able to live on nothing but pizza? Nothing but soup? No, even vampires needed variety. Sure, blood was the staple and they needed to eat it or they'd die (much like humans needed food with vitamins to survive), but they also enjoyed other things: mainly sweets.
And that was where the resident vampire was now-- in the Great Hall, searching through the freshly-placed breakfast. It was only seven in the morning on a Sunday, but time had very little meaning for August, who slept only a few hours a night (three or four at the most) and carried on doing whatever was needed during the day. He'd done a bang-up job of keeping his own secret, though. No one here, save one professor and a Seer in Knockturn had any idea what he was. Best to keep it that way, prey weren't partial to having predators living among them. A wolf in sheep's clothing, as it were.
So, mum's the word, children.
The Healer finished gathering up what he'd decided he needed to have, a small plate of two doughnuts, a scone drizzled with cream cheese frosting, and a slice of strawberry pie, complete with toast and hazelnut topping. What? It wasn't as if he could get fat. Vampires didn't work that way.
He'd be turning to head from the great hall, a doughnut stuck half way into his mouth.
