Thanks to Cho, Clint and Natasha knew what they were getting into when they came back from their vacation. Clint had already checked in with the office to see if he needed to go in, but it seemed everything was under control. They had managed to get to the scene close to when it had happened, although they were still investigating why it happened and who was behind it. He promised to be in early the next morning, but for now, wanted to just relax. Disneyland was fun, but you almost needed a vacation after coming home from it.
With Natasha staying at the school, he had done what Mycroft had done and offered her to stay at his place. Except he hadn’t done so in a way that Mycroft and Cho might have read it. It still tickled him that they might be in a relationship together, even if they might not have said anything out loud. Hey, if they wanted to keep it to themselves, he wouldn’t push for too much information. Maybe.
“Mi casa is tu casa...or something like that,” he said, opening the door for Natasha to step in. A ball of yellow fur came bounding towards them and Clint dropped everything to greet Lucky. “Hey boy! Didja miss me?” He grinned as his face was licked in return and was amused when Lucky bounded towards Natasha to give her a welcome much the same.
Things were different between the two of them, but in a good way. Since that day at the park, the two of them seemed to have grown closer, Clint finding that his teasings were a bit more gentle, more flirtatious than they were before. Well, maybe not more than before, but there were emotions there that he may not have been aware of as before. It was still a little confusing for him, but it was nice at the same time. He thought it was best to throw caution to the wind and just let it happen.
“Beer?” He sighed, not caring about his bags by the door and made his way into the kitchen.
