Ben elbowed him in the ribs. "Oi, cowgirl, let me see that rock. Ollie here seems to think only the magic bean pole here was good enough to know about the ring ahead of time."
"Wow, you must be really bad at keeping secrets." Laughing, Cho held her hand out to him. "Puddlemere blue."
"I wonder how tempted he was to go with yellow gold," Ben said, laughing.
Katie craned her neck to look over Ben's shoulder. "I don't know," she said, raising an eyebrow. "That sure looks like Tutshill blue to me."
Oliver turned a very satisfying shade of reddish-purple. "That's it. We've got an arrival time to hit," he said, holding out his arm to Cho.
"And reporters to show," Cho said as she slipped her arm through his.
"We'll be right behind you!" Dustin called after them as Oliver Apparated Cho to the foot of the diamond carpet.
As soon as they appeared, the noise of the crowd gathered behind the velvet ropes hit their ears. Oliver grinned and raised his hand to wave to the fans. "Here we go."
Cho had imagined what it'd be like to walk the diamond carpet--dreamt about it, even. Once she was there, standing in its glow, she knew that nothing could have prepared her for the assault of lights and microphones and camera flashes. "I think I might throw up," she whispered into Oliver's ear as they took their first steps.
He laid his hand over her one on his arm. "Smile big," he said, tilting his head toward her so only she could hear him without actually looking down at her. "It'll help you hold it back."
