Say goodbye to your assistant, Professor. WHO: Richie and Hermione WHEN: Almost 6 o'clock on the dot, Thursday evening WHERE: Professor Bradley's office WHAT: Hermione's leaving town and wants to gather up as much study material as possible...as well as say goodbye.
At two minutes to six, Hermione arrived at Richard's office. The door was closed. She raised a hand to knock, but hesitated. She didn't know what to expect from this meeting; it had been quite some time before she'd dealt face to face with the professor, and she wondered if he would even ask why she was leaving. It was hard to decide what would be worse: him not caring that she'd not be returning, or him asking too many personal questions about why. Despite everything, she still had something of a soft spot for him, no matter how many times he'd shown himself to be arrogant, rude, ignorant and insensitive. But it wouldn't surprise her if his main concern was losing a slave who would mark his papers and do all of his work for him.
Well, this time it was her turn to use him. He was bound to have notes and books that would help her ace the NEWTs, things she could take to Australia with her, and he owed her that much. It was the least he could do for all she'd done for him last term, after all.
5:59 p.m. She sighed and forced herself to knock, knowing he'd be watching the clock with amusement.
