"No!" she replied far too quickly. It took everything in her not to slap a hand over her mouth. Oh, Hannah would have that much more reason to hate her if she blew it now. She had to backtrack. Deciding that it would be better to risk Hannah's wrath by giving one kiss if it meant saving the whole situation, Mari stepped forward and pressed her lips to Quinn's, gently, almost chastely, lingering just long enough for it to be sweet and meaningful, not dismissive. "Quinn, I... The things I saw today..." She shook her head, looking away from him. It was true, yes, but it wasn't the truth he would assume she was telling. "I think I just need a night to recharge, by myself. Just one night." She met his eyes again and saw the confusion in his expression. It hurt her heart to lie like this. "Is that okay? Can you...can you just give me one night to get back to being...more me again?"
