Hey there little red riding hood
WHO: Pinocchio & Red WHERE: The Diner WHEN: Sunday Afternoon WHAT: Catching up, sharing adventures and comparing notes. WARNING: Possibly for Red; don't yet know. STATUS: In-Progress
Storybrooke and Marrowood didn't seem utterly incomparable; they both definitely had that air of cursed about them. While Storybrooke was meant to be quiet and quaint (what Regina was thinking August would never begin to understand) while Marrowood apparently wanted to drive you out of your mind with paranoia as early as possible.
It seemed more than possible.
The plus side (probably not in the long run of things, but in a narrow sort of way) was that he wasn't figuring this place out by himself. No. There was a savior, hatter, wolf and apparently a priate, mermaid and Snow White. He was still figuring out how they couldn't all be missed at some point or another, but that hardly seemed like a difficulty for magic if it tried. Whatever magic this place ran on.
And it had to be some kind of magic, that was the only logical (as much as magic was logical) explanation.
So, logically, August figured that Ruby would be the best place to get information, at least unedited information. The diner seemed to make sense for her, and this time around at least he wasn't battling to keep his eyes off areas that they shouldn't be immediately drawn to thanks to the skimpy clothes, but it didn't make the whole atmosphere any less welcoming.
"This is really good." Surprising, maybe. And not just because this place didn't seem to be a contestant for 'best food' in any county.
