"So, the problem with testing the theory isn't so much finding someone we don't like," Clint didn't necessarily dislike people, he just thought rather a lot of them were idiots. Which, coming from him? Yeah. "The thing is finding people not directly connected to anyone that would subsequently wonder what'd happened." Because sure, people vanished a lot, but it might take a while to kill someone enough that they stopped coming back. That was something to be wary off at least.
But there were a few people here that didn't seem to integrate into the larger groups. Clint knew that feeling, and sometimes it just took a specific kind of person.
"There's also the varying length of time that people take to come back. You were dead for a few days there, sometimes people seem to instantly resurrect in their rooms. So there's gonna need to be a degree of privacy at that person's current dwelling." No point killing someone just to rush back to their rooms to stop them either arming themselves for a fight back or talking to someone about the crazy people murdering them.
