He wouldn't be that much of an ass, at least not with Loki who was less and less like someone to be wary of at all. "Maybe a little bit." There were certain people who Clint wouldn't care a whit for accepting any kind of challenge from, but he was at least sensible enough to not consider entering his poor human stomach into an eating competition with a demi-God.
Clint was aiming for never dealing with it. He was starting to get that other people used it as a sort of safety net, a kind of 'if it happens it's okay', but he was never one for using safety nets, never relied on a 'maybe' to make it through. He had to be entirely confident in the out come to ever consider it a possibility, part of what made him a successful agent for this long had been that he'd never needed an extraction plan, he and Natasha made their own exit.
The next fuckery could lead to God knew what, so putting it off to being ready was probably sensible enough. Then again... "So this death theory," okay, so Clint wasn't exactly an advocate for mental health, but there were certain things that he just found helped. And they might've been throwing back the idea as a bit of a joke, but there was an edge of seriousness to the suggestion as far as Clint was concerned. "In or out, because I have a few thoughts on the matter."
Namely answering that 'how many times until it stops working' thing. And also potentially two birds and one stone. And slight anger/attitude management.
