Loki hadn't touched the cake because he really hadn't felt like eating up until this point. He wouldn't mind if Clint ate most of it, but if he didn't have any that would be rude to Anna. "Are you challenging me to a food duel? Have as much as you'd like, but at least save me a piece." He didn't think Clint would be foolish enough to try and take him on in a food battle. Death did suck, he supposed. Maybe being nearly immortal Loki had a different opinion on the matter. His kind just didn't tend to stay dead. It was less a finite circumstance to him and therefore not so traumatizing. Everyone would handle it differently.
