"But Ben, you just said this was Dungeons and Dragons, I just wanna go fight the dragons. Why do I have to roll for statisticals?" Andy motioned haphazardly to the dice that his friend kept insisting he rolled. It all seemed completely unrealistic to him, seeing as he couldn't picture any scenario in which you had to tell a dragon to hang on for a second, let me figure out my attrobuties or whatever. Not that he didn't love Ben, but, the guy could be a little lame in the way of fun when it came to games. He and Andy had two completely different ideas of the word. That was alright, different people liked different things. Ben liked maths and numbers and things that generally gave Andy a headache. Wheras he preferred Xbox and Pacman things. He humored him now because Ben didn't have a job yet and Andy wanted to keep himself busy (so as not to miss April) while he wasn't working. Donna had suggested always keeping busy, and Leslie and Donna were out doing their own thing, so Ben had offered to teach him D20. Though he was skeptical of a nerd game, Ben insisted it was fun and he could use his imagination. Sitting up so he could fold his legs under him to sit comfortably, Andy reached for his soda to gulp back and toss the dice anyways so they could just get on with it and Ben could have his statistical number stuff. He trusted him if he said it was fun, the poor guy probably missed home just as much as he did, and probably was still getting used to Leslie not knowing they were married. "Sweet, I got a seven that's the highest number on this dice. That means I'm the strongest? That dragon is so screwed." |
