I don't know where this fear comes from WHO:Emma Swan & Elsa WHEN: Tuesday, after this conversation WHERE: Empty lot beside Hiss Station WHAT: Emma's wondering just how the cold magic works, she's hoping Elsa has some pointers. WARNINGS: Insecure magic users. STATUS: In-Progress
It'd taken long enough for Emma to feel more secure in her magic, taken her a while in order to get used to it all. She had more or less got the hang on the healing, what she could heal and what just wouldn't work at all. And as much as it pained her, she was starting to learn her limits. So far, she'd gotten pretty good at teleporting objects, it was tiring after a while, but she was there with it. And the fireballs were starting to come easier, in fact when she got a little too mad they got exceptionally easy.
So, her rational route to take, when setting things on fire had gotten so very easy for her, was naturally to figure out how to freeze them. Which led her to Elsa, who was a little hesitant, Emma could understand, but it wasn't like Emma was looking for tips in mastery over ice. A little guidance towards a better understanding on just how the magic came naturally, that was all.
She knew that she, Elsa and Loki were possibly the only magic users left in Marrowood, but that Loki's magic was a different sort. To her, Elsa was the natural choice in a first sort of lesson. Not so much under tutelage, but directioning. If it came to learning more, then maybe she'd seek out Loki, ask him a few questions. Figure out if what worked for him could work for her.
If Marrowood was going to keep her here, then she would do what she could to make herself stronger, and apparently her magic was one of her strongest parts. So she was going to damn well learn what she could, from who she could, and protect her family.
The area that Elsa had said she preferred for this was fairly open, likely helpful in case of any wild magic, and didn't seem likely to be a hassle if it got a little roughed up in the process. Finding a tree stump to lean against, since her agitation had led her to be there early, Emma tried to calm herself while waiting around.
