who ten & amy what rescue! where hospital when after he's met rose for my mental continuity's sake, but mostly right after this warnings nothing beyond the standard stuff, definitely hospital-related triggers though!
He had seen the hospital no too long ago. His mind was still spinning from finding Rose here in all places. Without the TARDIS, he had no way of discerning where he was, which was awfully depressing. Still, he had her back, and he wouldn't take that for granted. He also wouldn't be overbearing. Rose was strong, the best of what him and who he'd become, she could handle herself while he went out to save someone that would no doubt dredge up more of his regeneration anxiety.
But that was fine, Amy looking for a Rory needed help. He would always answer that call from the right perosn.
So, he was off and running, retracing his steps back to where he'd first seen that looming mass of a building in their vicinity. He'd stood with Rose by that church after running from something, and--well, this was no time to think about the encounter. Focusing on not getting turned around or distracted, the Doctor found his way to the hospital and opened the doors to a flickering darkness. He didn't blame Amy for coming here. Humans--a large portion of them at least--saw it as a place of refuge in times of crisis. The Doctor didn't fancy them, but he would make the journey, sonic in hand, without a complaint.
Stopping as he shut the door quietly behind him, the Doctor surveyed the inside of the entrance with a grim expression. Something was most certainly not right here. First, he needed to find Amy. Tracking her with the sonic through the device he'd been given, the Doctor focused on that rather than the path outstretched before him. He saw the little shop, but deduced she hadn't taken his advice and hidden in there with a lamentable sigh.
Stopping before a door at the end of the signal, the Doctor looked from it and to the things he saw gathered in the corner of his eye. Just at the end of the hall, right behind the last of the last, he saw them: the Nurses. They weren't moving toward him exactly, but they were shuffling together in an odd sort of way. Eyebrows raising as the sight thoroughly unsettled him, he lifted a hand to knock at the door but refrained. He'd avoid that sound for awhile, and so tested the door while keeping his sight on the Nurses.
"Amy, it's the Doctor," he called through, not at all surprised to find the door wisely locked. "Are you all right in there? Can you let me in? Would appreciate it..." One light went out from over the nurses heads heads and he heard them move through the patches of darkness until the remaining light stopped them.
