God only knows what we're fighting for
Who: Ruby & Emma
Where: Emma's Office @ the Station
When: Wednesday
What: Ruby continues to make sure that Emma eats; aaaaand then causes a break down.
Warnings: Discussion of death, abandonment issues, ugly crying likely.
Stauts: In Progress.
It didn't take too much longer after Mary Margaret's resurrection for her to move into the apartment with Emma and Ruby. Honestly, Ruby much preferred having the three of them in the same place. Emma and Snow were the closest she had to family, and without Granny, they were probably her only real family. As much as Ruby half figured the room had been left vacant in the hopes that maybe Jefferson would come back, it seemed he felt better in his own space.
It wasn't something Ruby ever really felt comfortable with, her own space, too much space really, but she could understand someone like Jefferson needing it from time to time.
One person who absolutely did not need time to herself, in any way, shape or form right now, was Emma. After the portals were closed and the monsters mostly defeated, Ruby had hauled herself back to the apartment, showered off the blood and considered burning her clothes before just stuffing them in the bathtub to deal with later. She'd sat around for long enough before Emma came in, broken in a way Ruby hadn't seen her since Jefferson vanished for almost a week. It didn't take much to figure out that something had either happened to Snow or the Hatter. The fact that it was Snow just hurt more. So after spending a day wrapped around a sobbing, dozing, vacant Emma, Ruby had expected some kind of massive blow up when Snow came back.
Instead she got... silence. Emma moved Snow into the apartment, they played like everything was okay, Snow acted like it was no big deal and Ruby was still waiting for Emma to explode. So far, nothing. Which Ruby did not like, nor did she approve. Emma should not be bottling things up at all. So, on yet another day where Emma left the apartment before anyone else even got up, and would likely work until it was nearly the following day, Ruby decided to throw the spanner in the works and appear with lunch.
"Okay, missy, you've got a choice. Paw print pasta, or the chicken crock pot?" The coffee was a given, but no one ever came between Emma Swan and her coffee. With the take out bag in her hand, the coffee cups in a carrier in her other, Ruby resorted to butt checking the door shut behind her and grinning at her blond roommate. "What'cha wanting?"
