This was the happiest Leslie had been since her arrival in Marrowood. Being here with Ben, not having to break up with him just to run for City Council. Here she could do whatever she wanted with him, and she didn't have to hide it. It was a win-win situation, and as long as he was okay with them being together then so was she.
Her eyes widened at Ben's words, and she leaned back enough to look at him. "Wait, what? I run for council? Awww, but we broke up," she said with a scrunched up nose. "Was it worth it? I mean, me running? Did I win? I mean obviously we got back together because married, but... wow, I ran." There was a wistful look in her eyes, and she took a deep breath. "That must have been exciting. I bet I was a basket case," she said with a laugh.
Leslie leaned forward again to give Ben another kiss. Now that they've started there was no stopping her from covering him with kisses. It was probably for the best that they build back up to where they were, but what's to say they couldn't enjoy the time they had together right now?
