Smiling softly against her lips, ignoring the slight salty taste from her tears, Ben cupped Leslie's face with one hand while the other rested on her knee, returning the soft kiss. "It's okay."
Really it was more than okay, but Ben had adjusted already to his own feelings, he knew where he was with Leslie, he knew what they had, knew that she was it for him. Considering the lengths she went to for friends, family, even his family who were utterly insane, there was nothing that could convince him otherwise when it came to Leslie.
"You run for council, you know." If she was worrying about that, there wasn't much need, and she and he had already found out some things that they might end up doing (triplets) later in their lives anyway. "You dance around our break up for a while, but... we both know that you need to run." He didn't know if Andy or Donna had told her that she won, if she asked he'd tell her but other than that. "You're still the Leslie that I fell in love with, and I want to be with you whatever way I can be, even if it's in a horrible, twisted town with no real park and a Mayor that likely doesn't even do his job."
Regardless of where Leslie was with their relationship, he was more than willing to build through it if that's what she needed.
